Good Series for Quarantine: Post 2

Hi, and welcome back to Good Series for Quarantine! Today I am going to be telling you guys about another one of my favorite series (a real shocker I know). Today's series is called Ordinary Boy by William Boniface.

The Ordinary Boy series is 3 books long, so it is significantly shorter than the previous series I did, H.I.V.E., but a series doesn't have to be long to be a good series. Ordinary Boy is about an ordinary boy, unsurprisingly. However, the only reason this is significant is that he lives in a city full of superheroes. This city is aptly and very creatively named "Superopolis". His actual name is Ordinary Boy because, in Superopolis, every child is named by the powers they exhibit at birth. Also, since the folks there aren't super creative as previously mentioned, they usually end up with a name like "Puddle Boy", because they make puddles. So, since he has shown no sign of powers, he is now Ordinary Boy. Naturally, he is made fun of for this. Ordinary Boy is not without friends however, Stench, Plasma Girl, Halogen Boy, and Tadpole are all part of a group that they made called the Junior Leaguers. The origin of this name is the League of Ultimate Goodness, which is the group that protects the city from evil villains, but mostly just acts for their TV show. The Amazing Indestructo is the head of the League and is the main source of advertisement for products. After all, why would you not want to compare your product to the coolest person in the city?

Throughout the series, Ordinary Boy and his friends go on many adventures and do a lot of detective work that no one else seems to want to do. They also have to foil some of the evilest and most powerful villains that Superopolis has ever faced, including the nefarious Professor Brain-Drain, and the Red Menace, even with the "help" of the League of Ultimate Goodness and The Amazing Indestructo. This series is full of humor, action, and mystery. I found it extremely enjoyable. The books get you hooked because every time you think you get it, there's another mystery around the corner waiting to be solved by Ordinary Boy. However, you'll have to read the series yourself to find out if he really is so ordinary. So, get yourself to the library and go along with Ordinary Boy as he solves some of the deepest mysteries of Superopolis. (Don't mind the bad picture, there were literally no full series pictures that weren't from a shopping website. Can you believe it!??! 'Cause I sure can't.)
